ABOUT TONI

My name is Toni Mackenzie and I am a fully trained and qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Certified Life Coach, NLP Therapy Practitioner, EFT Practitioner & Reiki Master/Healer. I am a full member of the BACP, or British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (MBACP) and work by their code of ethics.

I run a private practice offering Hypnotherapy, *NLP, **EFT, Life Coaching, Reiki Healing, Psychotherapy, Counselling & Workshops to individuals and couples from the Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire areas, and also Merseyside and The Wirral.

Having spent around ten years travelling, and working with a wide range of personalities as an air stewardess, I began studying and developing a keen interest in Psychology. I entered the therapy profession in 1995 when I began my Counselling training, and since qualifying and receiving my Diploma in Counselling, I have continued to update my knowledge and skills by studying the latest and most effective therapies which provide fast and lasting results. During this period I have also extensively studied Practical Philosophy, Spirituality and Complementary Therapies, and received my First & Second Degree and Master Level Attunements in Reiki Healing, as well as Diplomas in Reflexology and Nutritional Therapy.

After successfully completing a training course in Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Psychology and Psychotherapy, with The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, I received my Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and Advanced Certificate in Therapeutic Hypnosis. I then went on to complete further training courses in *NLP, **EFT, and Life Coaching certification, so as to be in a position to offer the best possible combination of therapies. I can now share with you the techniques, and provide you with the tools, which you can use to change your life.

During my years as a therapist, I have provided one to one therapy and self help group work in various different organisations within the voluntary sector, including the NHS and Primary Care, working with clients with many issues including anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, loss, bereavement, relationship problems, fears, phobias, panic attacks, insomnia, pain control, public speaking, gambling, excessive drinking, smoking cessation, weight loss, eating disorders, sports performance, childbirth, infertility, menopause, serious illnesses including cancer, and much more. I am experienced in facilitating courses and workshops on building self-esteem and confidence, the power of positive thinking, rebuilding after the end of a relationship, and when recovering from a serious illness. I have also trained as an Irritable Bowel Syndrome Practitioner and a member of the UK Register of IBS Therapists.

Over the past twelve years or so, my learning and experiences have very positively turned my life around and as I continue to learn and grow, my passion is to share my knowledge, experiences, warmth and empathy with my clients. It is my desire to help my clients to change their lives for the better, by giving them the tools they need to take back control and reach their full potential. I work in a warm, caring, empathic way, using therapies which for most people work very quickly in helping them to move forward.  Although it is neccessary to be aware of how past experiences have contributed to current limiting beliefs, it is not neccessary to dwell upon the past in order to let it go, and set yourself free.
